DID YOU KNOW WHY THE EMU AND THE KANGAROO ARE SYMBOLISED ON THE AUSTRALIAN EMBLEM – I was asked once by my friends daughter returning from school. This is so because these animals don’t walk backward. The pun is: Australia walks ahead as a country, uniquely valuing its unity among world’s cultures. Earlier this week […]
A Finnish Psychiatrist based in New York, stranded in Western Australia due to the COVID 19 pandemic, shares with us some survival tips and personal experience in this challenging time. Dr. Sari Gold, born and raised in Finland, for the last 16 years has been working in New York as a Psychiatrist in Clinical practice. I met with Sari on a hike with the Western Walking Club last weekend and she was so kind to meet with me and answer […]
Last week I visited the only fully intact prison and a world listed heritage cite in Western Australia: the Fremantle Prison. I can’t imagine a better birthday present than a holiday! Last year, was probably one of the hardest years of my life that even the present coronavirus situation doesn’t compare to. What could be so bad? Let me tell you… I was going through a separation from a person that I still loved, I was working over hours to save up for a secure future, and there was plenty of insecurity in the air about which country I will end […]

Pollock, Ruch Van Reken, and Michael V. Pollock called Third Culture Kids: Growing Up Among Worlds turns out to be well known among younger TCK’s and people interested in the subject. Since […]
